The Nobility of Giving

📜
Original Arabic •

Urdu Translation •

English Translation •

“Nobility in the sight of Allah is through good manners (refinement), not through great lineage.”

Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ breaks the social myths of his time (and ours). While society often values people based on their family background, last names, or ancestry, the Divine metric is entirely different. Honor is an earned trait through Adab—which includes respect, ethics, and spiritual refinement. A person of humble origins with great manners is far more noble than a person of high lineage with poor character.
