The Magnetism of Gratitude
شکر اور مزید نعمتیں
إِذَا نَالَتْكُمْ أَطْرَافُ النِّعَمِ فَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا أَقْصَاهَا بِقِلَّةِ الشُّكْرِ.
جب نعمتوں کے ابتدائی حصے تمہیں مل جائیں، تو ناشکری کے ذریعے ان کے آخری (بڑے) حصوں کو خود سے دور نہ کرو۔
“When the initial portions of blessings reach you, do not repel the remaining (fuller) portions by lack of gratitude.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ explains that blessings often come in stages. Small favors and minor successes are tests of our character. If we are grateful for the small beginnings, we signal our readiness for the larger portions. However, if we focus on what we lack and fail to show gratitude for what has arrived, we effectively close the door on the future abundance Allah intended for us.
