The Fragility of Man
انسان کی کمزوری
مِسْکِینُ ابْنُ آدَمَ: مَکْتُومُ الْأَجَلِ، مَکْنُونُ الْعِلَلِ، مَحْفُوظُ الْعَمَلِ، تُؤْلِمُهُ الْبَقَّةُ، وَتَقْتُلُهُ الشَّرْقَةُ، وَتُنْتِنُهُ الْعَرْقَةُ.
بے چارہ انسان! اس کی موت پوشیدہ ہے، اس کی بیماریاں چھپی ہوئی ہیں، اس کے اعمال محفوظ ہیں؛ اسے مچھر کاٹ لے تو بے چین کر دیتا ہے، حلق میں پھندا لگ جائے تو جان لے لیتا ہے اور ذرا سا پسینہ اسے بدبودار بنا دیتا ہے۔
“Poor son of Adam! His death is hidden, his ailments are concealed, and his actions are recorded. A mosquito hurts him, a choke (on water) kills him, and sweat makes him stink.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights the vulnerability of the human ego. Despite all our scientific progress and power, we are physically fragile. We do not know when we will die, what illnesses are brewing inside us, or how a tiny insect can ruin our peace. This wisdom serves as a cure for **Pride ($Kibr$)**. It reminds us that our true strength lies in our spiritual connection to the Almighty, not in the physical body that can be defeated by a drop of water or a tiny bead of sweat.
