Silence, Secrecy and Reflection
خاموشی، راز اور فکری نور
صَدْرُ الْعَاقِلِ صُنْدُوقُ سِرِّهِ، وَالْبَشَاشَةُ حِبَالَةُ الْمَوَدَّةِ، وَالاْحْتِمالُ قَبْرُ الْعُيُوبِ.
عقلمند کا سینہ اس کے رازوں کا مخزن ہوتا ہے، اور خوش روئی و کشادہ پیشانی محبت و دوستی کا پھندا ہے، اور تحمل و بردباری عیبوں کا مدفن ہے۔
“The chest of a wise man is the safe of his secrets; cheerfulness is the bond of friendship; and endurance (patience) is the burial place of defects.”
Reflections: Imam Ali (as) provides three social and personal keys: 1) Discretion: A wise person protects their plans and thoughts. 2) Social Magnetism: A cheerful face naturally draws people toward you. 3) Character Shield: By being patient and enduring with others, a person effectively hides their own shortcomings and prevents their flaws from becoming public.
