The Veil of Silence
“Silence is a source of wisdom and staying quiet is a means of safety (from errors).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies **Silence** not just as the absence of noise, but as a deliberate **Hekmat** (Wisdom). He explains that by remaining silent, a person gains two things: first, the opportunity to observe and learn (acquiring wisdom), and second, protection from the social and spiritual consequences of saying something foolish or hurtful. It is the most effective “veil” for one’s own ignorance while one is still on the path of learning.
