الْبُخْلُ عَارٌ، وَالْجُبْنُ مَنْقَصَةٌ.

بخل (کنجوسی) ننگ و عار ہے، اور بزدلی عیب و نقص ہے۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“Miserliness is a shame, and cowardice is a defect.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies **Miserliness** and **Cowardice** as destructive forces. Miserliness ($Bukhl$) is a “shame” because it reflects a lack of trust in God’s provision, while cowardice ($Jubn$) is a “defect” because it prevents a person from standing up for truth or fulfilling their potential. This wisdom encourages us to cultivate **Generosity** and **Courage**, as they are the wings that allow a human soul to rise above base instincts.
