أَشَدُّ الذُّنُوبِ مَا اسْتَهَانَ بِهِ صَاحِبُهُ.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
سب سے بڑا گناہ وہ ہے جسے کرنے والا چھوٹا سمجھے۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“The most grievous sin is that which the doer considers light.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights a dangerous psychological trap. When we consider a sin “small” or “insignificant,” we stop being cautious and lose the urge to repent. This lack of remorse causes the sin to grow in weight and darkness. The **Dawn of Repentance** only begins when a person realizes the greatness of the One they have disobeyed, rather than looking at the smallness of the act itself. True piety is to treat every mistake as a serious matter.
