النَّاسُ أَعْدَاءُ مَا جَهِلُوا.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
لوگ اس چیز کے دشمن ہوتے ہیں جس سے وہ واقف نہیں ہوتے (جسے وہ نہیں جانتے)۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“People are enemies of what they do not know (or what they are ignorant of).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ provides a masterclass in human psychology. Most prejudices, hatreds, and conflicts stem from a simple lack of knowledge. When humans encounter a new idea, a different culture, or a complex truth they don’t understand, their first instinct is often defensive hostility. This wisdom encourages us to replace Fear with Curiosity. Before opposing something, we must first strive to understand it, as knowledge is the only true cure for enmity.
