The Turning World
“I wonder at the arrogant person who was a drop of semen yesterday and will be a corpse tomorrow.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ delivers a powerful blow to human ego. He reminds us of our humble beginnings and our inevitable end. Arrogance is illogical when one considers that our physical existence starts from something insignificant and ends as something decaying. This wisdom is a call to humility ($Tawadu$); it suggests that true greatness lies in the soul’s relationship with the Creator, not in the temporary pride of a fragile body.
