Original Arabic •

Urdu Translation •

English Translation •

“Allah has not entrusted any person with intellect except that He may save him by it one day.”

Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights that the **Intellect ($`Aql$)** is a divine trust given to us as a life-saving tool. Arrogance is the act of ignoring this tool and following one’s ego ($Nafs$) instead. When a person is humble and listens to their intellect, it acts as a compass that guides them away from destruction. The “End of Arrogance” is usually a disaster that could have been avoided if the person had simply utilized the intellect Allah deposited within them.
