Door of Repentance
توبہ کا دروازہ
مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَفْتَحَ عَلَى عَبْدٍ بَابَ الشُّكْرِ وَيُغْلِقَ عَنْهُ بَابَ الزِّيَادَةِ، وَلَا لِيَفْتَحَ عَلَى عَبْدٍ بَابَ الدُّعَاءِ وَيُغْلِقَ عَنْهُ بَابَ الْإِجَابَةِ، وَلَا لِيَفْتَحَ لِعَبْدٍ بَابَ التَّوْبَةِ وَيُغْلِقَ عَنْهُ بَابَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ.
ایسا نہیں ہو سکتا کہ اللہ کسی بندے کے لیے شکر کا دروازہ کھولے اور اضافے کا دروازہ بند کر دے، یا دعا کا دروازہ کھولے اور قبولیت کا دروازہ بند کر دے، یا توبہ کا دروازہ کھولے اور مغفرت کا دروازہ بند کر دے۔
“It cannot happen that Allah opens the door of gratitude for a servant and closes the door of increase, or that He opens the door of prayer and closes the door of acceptance, or that He opens the door of repentance and closes the door of forgiveness.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights the logical consistency of Divine Mercy. He teaches that the very impulse to repent, to pray, or to be grateful is a sign that Allah intends to grant the corresponding result. If you feel the urge to seek forgiveness ($Tawbah$), it is because the door of Mercy is already open for you. This wisdom removes despair from the heart of the believer, showing that God’s grace always completes the virtuous cycle we begin.
