Love for Ahlulbayt
“Whoever loves us, the Ahlulbayt, should be prepared to adopt poverty as his garment (meaning: be ready for trials and lack of worldly luxuries).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ provides a reality check for those who claim to love the household of the Prophet ﷺ. History shows that the path of Truth is often met with worldly opposition, economic hardship, and social trials. “Poverty” here doesn’t just mean a lack of money, but a life where one’s principles are more important than worldly gain. It is a call for Resilience; true love is proven when a person remains steadfast even when the world turns its back on them.
