Traveling Through Life
دنیا کی مسافرت
اتَّقُوا اللهَ فِي هذِهِ الدُّنْيَا الَّتِي إِنْ قُلْتُمْ مِنْهَا تَرَكَتْكُمْ، وَإِنْ أَقَمْتُمْ فِيهَا خَدَعَتْكُمْ.
اس دنیا کے بارے میں اللہ سے ڈرو جس کی حالت یہ ہے کہ اگر تم اسے چھوڑنا چاہو تو وہ تمہیں چھوڑ دیتی ہے، اور اگر تم اس میں قیام کرنا چاہو تو وہ تمہیں دھوکہ دیتی ہے۔
“Fear Allah regarding this world which is such that if you leave it, it leaves you, and if you stay in it, it deceives you.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ describes the parasitic relationship between man and the material world. If a person chooses to detach their heart from worldly desires, the world loses its power over them. However, if one tries to find permanent residence and security within it, the world’s deceptive beauty blinds them to the reality of the hereafter. It is a house built on transit, not a destination for the soul.
