Fruits of Contentment
“Amir al-Mu’minin ؑ was asked about the saying of Allah: ‘We will certainly cause him to live a good life’ (Quran 16:97). He ؑ replied: ‘It is contentment.'”
Reflections: Many people chase a “good life” through the accumulation of wealth and power, but Imam Ali ؑ reveals a spiritual shortcut. A پاکیزہ (pure/good) life is not about having everything you want, but about being content with what you have. Contentment frees the heart from the anxiety of greed and the pain of jealousy, allowing a person to live with dignity and peace regardless of their material circumstances.
