Certainty Over Ritual

نَوْمٌ عَلَى يَقِينٍ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ فِي شَكٍّ.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
یقین کی حالت میں سونا، شک کی حالت میں نماز پڑھنے سے بہتر ہے۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“Sleeping in a state of certainty is better than praying in a state of doubt.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ emphasizes that the essence of religion is Yaqeen (Certainty). Outward acts of worship, if performed while the heart is plagued by doubt or lack of conviction, lose their spiritual potency. This is a call to focus on intellectual and spiritual growth—to understand *why* we believe. A person who rests with a heart firm in truth is spiritually more advanced than one who performs rituals while being internally unsettled.
