حکمت کی قدر
خُذِ الْحِكْمَةَ أَنَّى كَانَتْ، فَإِنَّ الْحِكْمَةَ تَكُونُ فِي صَدْرِ الْمُنَافِقِ فَتَلَجْلَجُ فِي صَدْرِهِ حَتَّى تَخْرُجَ فَتَسْكُنَ إِلَى صَوَاحِبِهَا فِي صَدْرِ الْمُؤْمِنِ.
حکمت کی بات جہاں کہیں ہو اسے لے لو، کیونکہ حکمت منافق کے سینے میں بھی ہوتی ہے مگر وہ وہاں تلملاتی رہتی ہے جب تک کہ نکل کر مومن کے سینے میں پہنچ کر سکون نہ پا لے۔
“Take wisdom wherever it may be; for wisdom may be in the heart of a hypocrite, but it feels uneasy until it leaves and settles with its kin in the heart of a believer.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ uses a striking personification of wisdom. He suggests that Truth is inherently compatible with Faith. When a person without sincerity (a hypocrite) possesses a wise thought, that wisdom remains “restless” because the person’s character does not match the truth of the words. It only finds its true “home” when it is adopted and acted upon by a believer whose heart is aligned with that truth.
