علم اور یقین
مَا جَفَّتِ الدُّمُوعُ إِلَّا لِقَسْوَةِ الْقُلُوبِ، وَمَا قَسَتِ الْقُلُوبُ إِلَّا لِكَثْرَةِ الذُّنُوبِ.
آنسو خشک نہیں ہوتے مگر دلوں کی سختی کی وجہ سے، اور دل سخت نہیں ہوتے مگر گناہوں کی کثرت کی وجہ سے۔
“Tears do not dry up except due to the hardness of hearts, and hearts do not become hard except due to the abundance of sins.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies the spiritual root cause of emotional and spiritual detachment. He explains that the inability to feel compassion or be moved to tears during prayer is a symptom of a “hard heart.” This hardness is not a natural state, but a layer of rust formed by repeated wrongdoing. To regain our spiritual sensitivity, we must focus on repentance and the cleansing of our character.
