The Beauty of Generosity
سخاوت کی خوبصورتی
لَا تَسْتَحِ مِنْ إِعْطَاءِ الْقَلِيلِ، فَإِنَّ الْحِرْمَانَ أَقَلُّ مِنْهُ.
تھوڑا دینے سے نہ شرماؤ، کیونکہ خالی ہاتھ لوٹانا اس سے بھی کم (گری ہوئی بات) ہے۔
“Do not be ashamed of giving little, for indeed, depriving (the solicitor) is even less than that.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ encourages us to maintain a spirit of giving regardless of our financial capacity. We often hesitate to help because we feel our contribution is too small to make a difference, or we feel embarrassed by it. However, giving something—no matter how small—is an act of kindness and connection, whereas giving nothing at all leaves a person in total deprivation. Every small act of charity has weight in the eyes of Allah.
