Generosity vs. Extravagance
“Be generous but not extravagant; be frugal (economical) but not miserly.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ outlines the “Golden Mean” of financial ethics. True virtue lies in the center of two extremes. Generosity is the middle path between wasting wealth (extravagance) and hoarding it (miserliness). He encourages us to be open-handed toward the needy while remaining disciplined and thoughtful in our personal spending.
