Provisions for the Journey
“You have been commanded to prepare for the departure, and you have been directed toward the provisions, and indeed the final goal is the Resurrection.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ reminds us that life is not a permanent residence but a transit point. By stating that we have already been “directed toward the provisions,” he implies that the Quran and the teachings of the Ahlulbayt ؑ have clearly defined what we need to carry: Taqwa (Piety) and Good Deeds. The “command to prepare” is a wake-up call to avoid complacency.
