إِذَا قَدَرْتَ عَلَى عَدُوِّكَ فَاجْعَلِ الْعَفْوَ عَنْهُ شُكْراً لِلْقُدْرَةِ عَلَيْهِ.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
جب تم اپنے دشمن پر قابو پا لو، تو اس پر قابو پانے کا شکرانہ اس کو معاف کر دینا قرار دو۔
English Translation • انگریزی translation
“When you gain power over your enemy, make forgiving him a way of thanking God for the power you have achieved over him.”
Reflections: Imam Ali (as) teaches a profound moral lesson: power should not lead to tyranny, but to gratitude. The best way to show gratitude to Allah for granting you victory is to exercise the Divine quality of Mercy (Afw). It turns a moment of potential ego into a moment of spiritual elevation.
