Greed and Dishonor
طمع اور ذلت
أَزْرَى بِنَفْسِهِ مَنِ اسْتَشْعَرَ الطَّمَعَ، وَرَضِيَ بِالذُّلِّ مَنْ كَشَفَ عَنْ ضُرِّهِ، وَهَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ مَنْ أَمَّرَ عَلَيْهَا لِسَانَهُ.
جس نے طمع کو اپنا شعار بنایا اس نے اپنے آپ کو سبک کر لیا، اور جس نے اپنی سختی و پریشانی کا اظہار کیا وہ ذلت پر آمادہ ہو گیا، اور جس نے اپنی زبان کو قابو میں نہ رکھا اس نے خود اپنی توہین کر لی۔
“He who adopts greed as a habit devalues himself; he who discloses his hardship agrees to be humiliated; and he who allows his tongue to rule over his soul brings dishonor to himself.”
Core Message: Imam Ali (as) highlights three traits that destroy human dignity: internal greed, public complaining, and uncontrolled speech. True honor lies in contentment and self-restraint.
