The 11th Whispered Prayer of Imam Sajjad (as) from Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

عظیم اور دائمی رحمتوں والے خدا کے نام سے
In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful

إِلٰهِي كَسْرِي لاَ يَجْبُرُهُ إِلاَّ لُطْفُكَ وَحَنَانُكَ، وَفَقْرِي لاَ يُغْنِيهِ إِلاَّ عَطْفُكَ وَإِحْسَانُكَ

میرے معبود کوئی میری شکستگی کو بحال نہیں کر سکتا مگر تیرا لطف و مہربانی اور مجھے محتاجی سے کوئی نہیں نکال سکتا مگرتیری نوازش اور تیرا احسان
My God, nothing will mend my fracture but Your gentleness and loving care, free me of my poverty but Your affection and beneficence,

وَرَوْعَتِي لاَ يُسَكِّنُهَا إِلاَّ أَمَانُكَ، وَذِلَّتِي لاَ يُعِزُّهَا إِلاَّ سُلْطانُكَ

کوئی میرے خوف کو سکون میں نہیں بدل سکتا مگر تیری پناہ، کوئی میری ذلت کو عزت سے نہیں بدل سکتا مگر تیری قوت
still my fright but Your security, exalt my abasement but Your sovereignty,

وَأُمْنِيَتِي لاَ يُبَلِّغُنِيهَا إِلاَّ فَضْلُكَ، وَخَلَّتِي لاَ يَسُدُّهَا إِلاَّ طَوْلُكَ

کوئی میری آرزو پوری نہیں ہو سکتی مگر تیرے فضل سے، کوئی میری ضرورت پوری نہیں کر سکتا سوائے تیرے
take me to my hope but Your bounty, remedy my lack but Your graciousness,

وَحَاجَتِي لاَ يَقْضِيهَا غَيْرُكَ، وَكَرْبِي لاَ يُفَرِّجُهُ سِوَىٰ رَحْمَتِكَ

کوئی میری حاجت بر نہیں آتی مگر تیری بخشش سے، میری مصیبت نہیں کٹتی بجز اس کے کہ تو رحمت فرمائے
accomplish my need other than You, relieve my distress other than Your mercy,

وَضُرِّي لاَ يَكْشِفُهُ غَيْرُ رَأْفَتِكَ، وَغُلَّتِي لاَ يُبَرِّدُهَا إِلاَّ وَصْلُكَ

میری بے چارگی رفع نہیں ہوتی سوائے تیری مہربانی کے، میرے سینے کی جلن کو تیرا ہی وصال ٹھنڈک پہنچا سکتا یے
remove my injury other than Your clemency, cool my burning thirst but reaching You,

وَلَوْعَتِي لاَ يُطْفِيهَا إِلاَّ لِقَاؤُكَ، وَشَوْقِي إِلَيْكَ لاَ يَبُلُّهُ إِلاَّ ٱلنَّظَرُ إِلَىٰ وَجْهِكَ

میرے سوزِ دل کو تیری ملاقات ہی خنک کر سکتی ہے، میرے شوق کو تیرے جلوے کا نظارہ ہی تسکین دے سکتا ہے
quench my ardor but meeting You, damp my yearning but gazing upon Your face,

وَقَرَارِي لاَ يَقِرُّ دُونَ دُنُوِّي مِنْكَ، وَلَهْفَتِي لاَ يَرُدُّهَا إِلاَّ رَوْحُكَ

سوائے تیرے قرب کے مجھے قرار نہیں مل سکتا، میرے رنج و غم کو تیری خوشنودی ہی مٹا سکتی ہے
settle my settling place without closeness to You, allay my worry but Your repose,

وَسَقَمِي لاَ يَشْفِيهِ إِلاَّ طِبُّكَ، وَغَمِّي لاَ يُزِيلُهُ إِلاَّ قُرْبُكَ

اور میری بیماری دور نہیں ہوتی مگر تیری دوا سے، میرا غم نہیں جاتا مگر تیرے قرب سے
cure my illness but Your medicine, eliminate my grief but Your nearness,

وَجُرْحِي لاَ يُبْرِئُهُ إِلاَّ صَفْحُكَ، وَرَيْنُ قَلْبِي لاَ يَجْلُوهُ إِلاَّ عَفْوُكَ

تیری ہی چشم پوشی میرے زخم کو اچھا کر سکتی ہے، تیرا عفو ہی میرے دل کے میل کو صاف کر سکتا ہے
heal my wound but Your forgiveness, remove the rust on my heart but Your pardon,

وَوَسْوَاسُ صَدْرِي لاَ يُزِيحُهُ إِلاَّ أَمْرُكَ

تیرے ہی حکم سے میرے سینے کا وسواس دور ہو سکتا ہے
banish the confusing thoughts from my breast but Your command

فَيَا مُنْتَهَىٰ أَمَلِ ٱلآمِلِينَ، وَيَا غَايَةَ سُؤْلِ ٱلسَّائِلينَ

پس اے امید کرنے والوں کی امید کی انتہا، اے سوالیوں کے سوال کی انتہا
O Utmost Hope of the hopers! O Ultimate Demand of the askers

وَيَا أَقْصَىٰ طِلْبَةِ ٱلطَّالِبِينَ، وَيَا أَعْلَىٰ رَغْبَةِ ٱلرَّاغِبِينَ

اے طلب کرنے والوں کی انتہائی طلب، اے رغبت کرنے والوں کی رغبت سے بالاتر
O Furthest Request of the requesters! O Highest Desire of the desirers

وَيَا وَلِيَّ ٱلصَّالِحِينَ، وَيَا أَمَانَ ٱلْخَائِفِينَ

اے نیکوکاروں کے سرپرست ، اے ڈرے ہوؤں کی پناہ گاہ
O Patron of the righteous, O Security of the fearful

وَيَا مُجِيبَ دَعْوَةِ ٱلْمُضْطَرِّينَ، وَيَا ذُخْرَ ٱلْمُعْدَمِينَ

اے بے قراروں کی دعائیں قبول کرنے والے ،اے ناداروں کے سرمایہ
O Responder to the supplication of the distressed, O Storehouse of the destitute

وَيَا كَنْزَ ٱلْبَائِسِينَ، وَيَا غِيَاثَ ٱلْمُسْتَغِيثِينَ

اے درماندوں کے خزانے، اے داد خواہوں کے داد رس
O Treasure of the pitiful, O Help of the help-seekers

وَيَا قَاضِيَ حَوَائِجِ ٱلْفُقَرَاءِ وَٱلْمسَاكِينِ

اے فقرا و مساکین کی حاجتیں پوری کرنے والے
O Accomplisher of the needs of the poor and the miserable

وَيَا أَكْرَمَ ٱلأَكْرَمِينَ، وَيَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

اے عزت داروں میں بڑے عزت دار، اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے
O Most Generous of the most generous, O Most Merciful of the merciful

لَكَ تَخَضُّعِي وَسُؤَالِي، وَإِلَيْكَ تَضَرُّعِي وَٱبْتِهَالِي

تیرے آگے عاجزی کرتا ہوں اور تجھی سے ہی سوال کرتا ہوں، تیرے ہی سامنے فریاد و زاری کرتا ہوں
To You is my humble subjection and request, to You my pleading and imploring

أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُنِيلَنِي مِنْ رَوْحِ رِضْوَانِكَ، وَتُدِيمَ عَلَيَّ نِعَمَ ٱمْتِنَانِكَ

میں سوال کرتا ہوں کہ اپنی نسیم رضا مجھ تک پہنچا دے اور ہمیشہ مجھ پراحسان و کرم فرما
I ask You to let me attain the repose of Your good pleasure, and to make constant toward me the favors of Your kindness

وَهَا أَنَا بِبَابِ كَرَمِكَ وَاقِفٌ، وَلِنَفَحَاتِ بِرِّكَ مُتَعَرِّضٌ

ہاں اب میں تیرے در سخاوت پر آکھڑا ہوں اور تیرے بہترین عطیات کا منتظر ہوں
Here am I, standing before the gate of Your generosity, opening myself up to the breezes of Your goodness,

وَبِحَبْلِكَ ٱلشَّدِيدِ مُعْتَصِمٌ، وَبِعُرْوَتِكَ ٱلْوُثْقَىٰ مُتَمَسِّكٌ

اور تیری مضبوط رسی کو پکڑے ہوئے ہوں اور تیری محکم ڈوری کو تھامے ہوئے ہوں
holding fast to Your strong cord, clinging to Your firm handle!

إِلٰهِي ٱرْحَمْ عَبْدَكَ ٱلذَّلِيلَ ذَا ٱللِّسَانِ ٱلْكَلِيلِ وَٱلْعَمَلِ ٱلْقَلِيلِ

میرے معبود اپنے اس پست بندے پر رحم فرما جس کی زبان گنگ اور عمل بہت کم ہے
My God, have mercy upon Your lowly slave of silent tongue and few good works,

وَٱمْنُنْ عَلَيْهِ بِطَوْلِكَ ٱلْجَزِيلِ، وَٱكْنُفْهُ تَحْتَ ظِلِّكَ ٱلظَّلِيلِ

اس پر اپنی فزوں تر سخاوت سے احسان فرما اور اپنے بلند تر سائے تلے پناہ دے
obligate him through Your plentiful graciousness, shelter him under Your plenteous shade!

يَا كَرِيمُ يَا جَمِيلُ، يَا أَرْحَمَ ٱلرَّاحِمِينَ

اے کریم اے جمیل اے سب سے زیادہ رحم کرنے والے
O Generous, O Beautiful, O Most Merciful of the merciful!

This prayer is recited by those who recognize their utter poverty and need before the Divine. It is the 11th of the Whispered Prayers (Munajat) of Imam Zayn al-Abidin (as) from the Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya.
