Ziyarat Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra

The Veracious, The Immaculate: This is the complete Ziyarat of the Leader of all Women, the daughter of the Prophet (saw).

Part 1: The Examination (Ya Mumtahanah)

يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ ٱمْتَحَنَكِ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكِ قَبْلَ انْ يَخْلُقَكِ فَوَجَدَكِ لِمَا ٱمْتَحَنَكِ صَابِرَةً ya mumtahanatu imtahanaki allahu alladhi khalaqaki qabla an yakhluqaki fawajadaki lima imtahanaki sabiratan O carefully examined (lady): Allah Who created you had tried you before He created you, and thus He found you successfully enduring in that trial.

وَزَعَمْنَا انَّا لَكِ اوْلِيَاءٌ وَمُصَدِّقُونَ وَصَابِرُونَ لِكُلِّ مَا اتَانَا بِهِ ابُوكِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَاتَىٰ بِهِ وَصِيُّهُ We claim being loyalists to you, believers in you, and tolerant as regards all that which has been conveyed to us by your father (saw) and his Successor (as).

Part 2: Salutations (Salawat)

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا بِنْتَ نَبِيِّ ٱللَّهِ alssalamu `alayki ya binta rasuli allahi... Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Messenger of Allah. Peace be upon you, O daughter of the Prophet of Allah.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا زَوْجَةَ وَلِيِّ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ يَا امَّ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ Peace be upon you, O wife of the Intimate Servant of Allah. Peace be upon you, O mother of al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two chiefs of the youth of Paradise.

Part 3: Attributes & Testimony

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلصِّدِّيقَةُ ٱلشَّهِيدَةُ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكِ ايَّتُهَا ٱلرَّضِيَّةُ ٱلْمَرْضِيَّةُ Peace be upon you, O veracious and martyr. Peace be upon you, O content and pleased.

اشْهَدُ انَّكِ مَضَيْتِ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكِ وَانَّ مَنْ سَرَّكِ فَقَدْ سَرَّ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ I bear witness that you have spent your life with full awareness of your duty, and he who pleases you will have pleased the Messenger of Allah (saw).

Part 4: Closing Supplication

اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَاهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْبَتُولِ ٱلطَّاهِرَةِ ٱلصِّدِّيقَةِ ٱلْمَعْصُومَةِ O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household and send blessings upon the chaste, the immaculate, the veracious, the infallible lady.

وَآتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِي حُبِّهَا فَضْلاً وَإِحْسَاناً وَرَحْمَةً وَغُفْرَاناً And grant us, from You on account of our love for her, favor, kindness, mercy, and forgiveness.

Verily, Allah is Sufficient as Witness, Reckoner, and Rewarder.

يَا مُمْتَحَنَةُ
