بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ
Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah. Peace be upon you, O son of Allah’s Messenger.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خِيَرَةِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ خَيرَتِهِ
Peace be upon you, O choicest of Allah and son of His choicest.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱبْنَ سَيِّدِ ٱلْوَصِيِّينَ
Peace be upon you, O son of the Commander of the Faithful and son of the chief of the Prophets’ successors.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا بْنَ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةِ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
Peace be upon you, O son of Fatimah the doyenne of the women of the worlds.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ثَارَ ٱللَّهِ وَٱبْنَ ثَارِهِ وَٱلْوِتْرَ ٱلْمَوْتُورَ
Peace be upon you, O vengeance of Allah, son of His vengeance, and the unavenged so far.
يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَظُمَتِ ٱلرَّزِيَّةُ وَجَلَّتْ وَعَظُمَتِ ٱلْمُصيبَةُ بِكَ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَىٰ جَمِيعِ أَهْلِ ٱلإِسْلاَمِ
O Abu-`Abdullah, unbearable is the sorrow and excruciating and unbearable is the misfortune of you for us and for all the people of Islam.
فَلَعَنَ ٱللَّهُ أُمَّةً أَسَّسَتْ أَسَاسَ ٱلظُّلْمِ وَٱلْجَوْرِ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ
May Allah curse the people who laid the basis of persecution and wronging against you, O Members of the Household.
إِنِّي سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمَكُمْ وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَامَةِ
I am at peace with those who are at peace with you and I am at war against those who have fought against you up to the Resurrection Day.
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱجْعَلْنِي عِنْدَكَ وَجِيهاً بِٱلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلاَمُ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
O Allah, please make me illustrious in Your sight in the name of al-Husayn, peace be upon him, in this world and in the Hereafter.
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْ أَوَّلَ ظَالِمٍ ظَلَمَ حَقَّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآخِرَ تَابِعٍ لَهُ عَلَىٰ ذٰلِكَ
O Allah, pour curses upon the foremost persecutor who usurped the right of Muhammad and Muhammad’s Household and the last follower who acceded to his deed.
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنِ ٱلْعِصَابَةَ ٱلَّتِي جَاهَدَتِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَشَايَعَتْ وَبَايَعَتْ وَتَابَعَتْ عَلَىٰ قَتْلِهِ. اَللَّهُمَّ ٱلْعَنْهُمْ جَمِيعاً
O Allah, pour curses upon the gang that struggled against al-Husayn and who participated in slaying him. O Allah, pour curses upon all of them.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَلَىٰ ٱلأَرْوَاحِ ٱلَّتِي حَلَّتْ بِفِنَائِكَ
Peace be upon you, O Abu-`Abdullah and upon the souls that gathered in your courtyard.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَعَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَعَلَىٰ أَوْلاَدِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَعَلَىٰ أَصْحَابِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
Peace be upon al-Husayn, upon `Ali ibn al-Husayn, upon the sons of al-Husayn, and upon the companions of al-Husayn.
اَللَّهُمَّ لَكَ ٱلْحَمْدُ حَمْدَ ٱلشَّاکِرِينَ لَکَ عَلَى مُصَابِهِمْ
O Allah, all praise be to You; the praise of those who thank You for their misfortunes.
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱرْزُقْنِي شَفَاعَةَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ يَوْمَ ٱلْوُرُودِ وَثَبِّتْ لِي قَدَمَ صِدْقٍ عِنْدَكَ مَعَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ وَأَصْحَابِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
O Allah, grant me the intercession of al-Husayn on the Day of Coming and make for me with You a firm step of honesty with al-Husayn and his companions.
