Complete Unabridged Ziyarat of Imam al-Jawad (as)
نعزی الامة الاسلامیه و شیعة اهل البیت (ع) بذکری استشهاد الامام محمد بن علي الجواد علیه السلام.
First Form: Entrance (Izn Dukhool)
اللَّهُ اكْبَرُ ٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ لاََ إِِلٰهَ إِِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَٱللَّهُ اكْبَرُ
Allah is the Most Great. Allah is the Most Great. There is no god save Allah. And Allah is the Most Great.
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ عَلَىٰ هِدَايَتِهِ لِدِينِهِ وَٱلتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا دَعَا إِِلَيْهِ مِنْ سَبِيلِهِ
All praise be to Allah for guiding me to His religion and for leading me successfully to His Course to which He has invited us.
اَللَّهُمَّ إِِنَّكَ اكْرَمُ مَقْصُودٍ وَاكْرَمُ مَاتِيٍّ وَقَدْ اتَيْتُكَ مُتَقَرِّباً إِِلَيْكَ بِٱبْنِ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ صَلَوَاتُكَ عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰ آبَائِهِ ٱلطَّاهِرِينَ وَابْنَائِهِ ٱلطَّيِّبِيـنَ
O Allah, You are verily the most Honorable Besought One. I have come to You, seeking nearness to You in the name of the son of Your Prophet's daughter, Your blessings be upon him and upon his immaculate fathers and pure sons.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍٍ وَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ سَعْيِي وَلاَ تَقْطَعْ رَجَائِي وَٱجْعَلْنِي عِنْدَكَ وَجِيهاً فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِيـنَ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad, never frustrate my efforts, never cut off my hope, make me illustrious in Your view in this world as well as the world to come, and make me of those brought near to You.
Entering the Shrine
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِٱللَّهِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَعَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
In the Name of Allah, in Allah (I trust), and on the way of Allah and on the norm of the Messenger of Allah (I proceed), may Allah bless him and his Household.
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِجَمِيعِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِيـنَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَاتِ
O Allah, please do forgive me, my parents, and all the believing men and women.
Asking Permission at the Gate
Standing at the gate of the dome, recite:
اادْخُلُ يَا رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِ اادْخُلُ يَا نَبِيَّ ٱللَّهِ اادْخُلُ يَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ
O Allah's Messenger, may I enter? O Allah's Prophet, may I enter? O Muhammad the son of `Abdullah, may I enter?
اادْخُلُ يَا امِيرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ اادْخُلُ يَا ابَا مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْحَسَنُ اادْخُلُ يَا ابَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْحُسَيْنُ
O Commander of the Faithful, may I enter? O Abu-Muhammad al-Hasan, may I enter? O Abu-`Abdullah al-Husayn, may I enter?
اادْخُلُ يَا ابَا مُحَمَّدٍ عَلِيُّ بْنَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ اادْخُلُ يَا ابَا جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ اادْخُلُ يَا ابَا عَبْدِ ٱللَّهِ جَعْفَرُ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ
O Abu-Muhammad `Ali ibn al-Husayn, may I enter? O Abu-Ja`far Muhammad ibn `Ali, may I enter? O Abu-`Abdullah Ja`far ibn Muhammad, may I enter?
اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا ابَا ٱلْحَسَنِ مُوسَىٰ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا ابَا جَعْفَرٍ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
O my master Abu'l-Hasan Musa ibn Ja`far, may I enter? O my master Abu-Ja`far, may I enter? O my master Muhammad ibn `Ali, may I enter?
Salutations at the Tomb
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ ٱللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ ٱلأَرْضِ
Peace be upon you, O intimate servant of Allah. Peace be upon you, O Allah's argument. Peace be upon you, O Allah's light in the darkness of the earth.
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ وَتَلَوْتَ ٱلْكِتَابَ حَقَّ تِلاَوَتِهِ وَجَاهَدْتَ فِي ٱللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ وَصَبَرْتَ عَلَىٰ ٱلأَذَىٰ فِي جَنْبِهِ حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
I bear witness that you performed the prayers, defrayed the poor-rate, enjoined the right, forbade the wrong, recited the Book as it should be recited, strove for Allah as exactly as striving should be, and endured harm for His sake until death came upon you.
Extended Salutations
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلتَّقِيُّ ٱلإِمَامُ ٱلْوَفِيُّ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا ٱلرَّضِيُّ ٱلزَّكِيُّ
Peace be upon you, O Abu-Ja`far Muhammad the son of `Ali, the righteous, pious, and faithful leader. Peace be upon you, O pleased and pure.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سِرَّ ٱللَّهِ وَيَا ضِيَاءَ ٱللَّهِ وَيَا سَنَاءَ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا كَلِمَةَ ٱللَّهِ وَيَا رَحْمَةَ ٱللَّهِ
Peace be upon you, O Allah's secret, O Allah's brightness, and O Allah's brilliance. Peace be upon you, O Allah's Word and O Allah's mercy.
The Witnessing
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ وَلِيُّ ٱللَّهِ وَحُجَّتُهُ فِي أَرْضِهِ وَأَنَّكَ جَنْبُ ٱللَّهِ وَخِيَرَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَمُسْتَوْدَعُ عِلْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَعِلْمِ ٱلأَنْبِيَاءِ وَرُكْنُ ٱلإِيـمَانِ وَتَرْجُمَانُ ٱلْقُرْآنِ
I bear witness that you are the intimate servant of Allah, the argument of Him in His lands, the side of Allah, and the best in the view of Allah; the store of the knowledge of Allah and the knowledge of the Prophets, the cornerstone of faith, and the interpreter of the Qur'an.
Final Invocation of Blessings
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلزَّكِيِّ ٱلتَّقِيِّ وَٱلْبَرِّ ٱلْوَفِيِّ ٱلْمُهَذَّبِ ٱلنَّقِيِّ هَادِي ٱلأُمَّةِ وَوَارِثِ ٱلأَئِمَّةِ وَخَازِنِ ٱلرَّحْمَةِ وَيَنْبُوعِ ٱلْحِكْمَةِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, and send blessings upon Muhammad the son of `Ali, the pure, the pious, the righteous, and the faithful; the refined, the bright, the guide of the nation, the inheritor of the Imams, the treasurer of mercy, and the spring of wisdom.
إِنَّكَ ذُو ٱلْمَنِّ ٱلْقَدِيـمِ وَٱلصَّفْحِ ٱلْجَمِيلِ
You are verily the Lord of eternal favoring and nice pardoning.
