Complete Ziyarat of Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (as)
The Salutations
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ أَیُّهَا الإِمَامُ الصَّادِقُ
Peace be upon you, O Veracious Leader.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ أَیُّهَا الوَصِیُّ النَّاطِقُ
Peace be upon you, O Speaking Successor.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ أَیُّهَا الفَاتِقُ الرَّاتِقُ
Peace be upon you, O Exponent and Spreader of Knowledge.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ أَیُّهَا السَّنَامُ الأَعْظَمُ
Peace be upon you, O Most Sublime Peak.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ أَیُّهَا الصِّرَاطُ الأَقْوَمُ
Peace be upon you, O Straightest Path.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا مِفْتَاحَ الخَیْرَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Key to all Bounties.
السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا مِصْبَاحَ الْظُلُمَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Lantern in the Darkness.
السَّلَامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا دَافِعَ الْمُعْضِلَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Dispeller of Difficulties.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا مَعْدِنَ البَرَكَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Source of Blessings.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ الحُجَجِ وَالدَّلالاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Master of Proofs and Evidence.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا صَاحِبَ البَرَاهِینِ الوَاضِحَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Possessor of Clear Arguments.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا نَاصِرَ دِینِ اللَّهِ
Peace be upon you, O Supporter of the Religion of Allah.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا نَاشِرَ حُكْمِ اللَّهِ
Peace be upon you, O Spreader of the Wisdom of Allah.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا فَاصِلَ الخِطَابَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Arbiter of Speech.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا كَاشِفَ الكُرُبَاتِ
Peace be upon you, O Reliever of Agonies.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا عَمِيدَ الصَّادِقِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Pillar of the Truthful.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا لِسَانَ النَّاطِقِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Tongue of those who speak the Truth.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا خَلَفَ السَّابِقِينَ
Peace be upon you, O Inheritor of the Foremost Ones.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا زَعِيمَ الصَّالِحِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Leader of the Righteous.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا سَيِّدَ المُسْلِمِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Muslims.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا كَهْفَ المُؤْمِنِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Haven of the Believers.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا هَادِيَ المُضِلِّینَ
Peace be upon you, O Guide of those who are lost.
السَّلامُ عَلَیْكَ يَا سَكَنَ الطَّائِعِینَ
Peace be upon you, O Solace of the Obedient.
The Testimony
أَشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلايَ أَنَّكَ عَلَمُ الهُدَى، وَالعُرْوَةُ الوُثْقَى، وَشَمْسُ الضُّحَى، وَبَحْرُ النَّدَى، وَكَهْفُ الوَرَى، وَالمَثَلُ الأَعْلَى
I bear witness, O my Master, that you are the Banner of Guidance, the Firmest Handle, the Morning Sun, the Ocean of Generosity, the Sanctuary of Mankind, and the Most Sublime Example.
وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى رُوحِكَ وَبَدَنِكَ
May Allah bless your Soul and your Body.
The Keeper of Knowledge
أَلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا الصَّادِقُ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، خَازِنُ الْعِلْمِ، الدَّاعِي إِلَى اللَّهِ بِالْحَقِّ، النُّورُ الْمُبِينُ
Peace be upon you, O Truthful One, Ja’far son of Muhammad, Keeper of Knowledge, Caller to Allah with Truth, and the Manifest Light.
اللَّهُمَّ كَمَا جَعَلْتَهُ مَعْدِنَ كَلَامِكَ وَوَحْيِكَ، وَخَازِنَ عِلْمِكَ، وَلِسَانَ تَوْحِيدِكَ، وَوَالِيَ أَمْرِكَ، وَمُسْتَحْفِظَ دِينِكَ
O Allah, just as You made him the Source of Your Words and Revelation, the Treasurer of Your Knowledge, the Tongue of Your Oneness, the Guardian of Your Command, and the Protector of Your Religion...
فَصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ أَفْضَلَ مَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَوْصِيَائِكَ وَحُجَجِكَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
...then send blessings upon him, the best blessings You have ever sent upon any of Your Successors and Proofs. Verily, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious.
