Complete Unabridged Ziyarat of Imam Rida (as)
Instructions: Before entering, stand at the gate and repeat: "Allahu Akbar" (100 times), then enter with humility and recite:
The Entrance Protocol
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ وَبِٱللَّهِ وَعَلَىٰ مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ صَلَّىٰ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ
In the Name of Allah, in Allah (I trust), and the course of Allah's Messenger (I follow), peace be upon him and his Household.
أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَأَنَّ عَلِيّاً وَلِيُّ ٱللَّهِ
I bear witness that there is no god save Allah, One and Only and having no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger and Ali is Allah’s intimate servant.
Blessings upon the Holy Light
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَرَسُولِكَ وَنَبِيِّكَ وَسَيِّدِ خَلْقِكَ أَجْمَعِينَ صَلاَةً لاَ يَقْوَىٰ عَلَىٰ إِحْصَائِهَا غَيْرُكَ
O Allah, bless Muhammad, Your servant, messenger, prophet, and the chief of all Your creatures, with such blessings that none can calculate save You.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ أَمِيرِ ٱلْمُؤمِنِينَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَبْدِكَ وَأَخِي رَسُولِكَ ٱلَّذِي ٱنْتَجَبْتَهُ بِعِلْمِكَ وَجَعَلْتَهُ هَادِياً لِمَنْ شِئْتَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ
O Allah, bless the Commander of the Faithful Ali the son of Abi-Talib, Your servant and the brother of Your Messenger, whom You have selected on the basis of Your knowledge and appointed as guide for those of Your creatures as You willed.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ فَاطمةَ بِنْتِ نَبِيِّكَ وَزَوْجَةِ وَلِيِّكَ وَأُمِّ ٱلسِّبْطَيْنِ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ سَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ
O Allah, send blessings on Fatima the daughter of Your Prophet, the wife of Your friend, and the mother of the two grandsons al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two chiefs of the youth of Paradise.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ وَٱلْحُسَيْنِ سِبْطَيْ نَبِيِّكَ وَسَيِّدَيْ شَبَابِ أَهْلِ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْقَائِمَيْنِ فِي خَلْقِكَ وَٱلدَّلِيلَيْنِ عَلَىٰ مَنْ بَعَثْتَ بِرِسَالاَتِكَ
O Allah, send blessings upon al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the two grandsons of Your Prophet, the two chiefs of the youth of Paradise, the two in charge of Your creatures, and the two guides to him whom You sent with Your messages.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَليِّ بْنِ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ عَبْدِكَ ٱلْقَائِمِ فِي خَلْقِكَ وَٱلدَّلِيلِ عَلَىٰ مَنْ بَعَثْتَ بِرِسَالاَتِكَ وَسَيِّدِ ٱلْعَابِدِينَ
O Allah, send blessings upon Ali the son of al-Husayn, Your servant who undertakes Your mission among Your creatures, the guide to him whom You sent with Your messages, and the prime of all worshippers.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَبْدِكَ وَخَلِيفَتِكَ فِي أَرْضِكَ بَاقِرِ عِلْمِ ٱلنَّبِيِّينَ
O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad the son of Ali, Your servant and Your representative in Your lands, who split asunder the knowledge of the Prophets.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلصَّادِقِ عَبْدِكَ وَوَلِيِّ دِينِكَ وَحُجَّتِكَ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ أَجْمَعِينَ ٱلصَّادِقِ ٱلْبَارِّ
O Allah, send blessings upon Ja’far the son of Muhammad, the veracious, Your servant, the authority of Your religion, Your argument against all of Your creatures, the veracious, and the dutiful.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ عَبْدِكَ ٱالصَّالِحِ وَلِسَانِكَ فِي خَلْقِكَ ٱلنَّاطِقِ بِحُكْمِكَ وَٱلْحُجَّةِ عَلَىٰ بَرِيَّتِكَ
O Allah, send blessings upon Musa the son of Ja’far, Your righteous servant, Your spokesman among Your creatures, who speaks with Your judgment, and who is the argument against Your created beings.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَليِّ بْنِ مُوسَىٰ ٱلرِّضَا ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ عَبْدِكَ وَوَلِيِّ دِينِكَ ٱلْقَائِمِ بِعَدْلِكَ وَٱلدَّاعِي إِلَىٰ دِينِكَ وَدِينِ آبَائِهِ ٱلصَّادِقِينَ صَلاَةً لاَ يَقْوَىٰ عَلَىٰ إِحْصَائِهَا غَيْرُكَ
O Allah, send blessings upon Ali the son of Musa, the cordial, the well-pleased, Your servant, the authority of Your religion, who undertakes the mission with Your justice, and who calls to the religion of You and of his veracious fathers; (bless him) with such blessings that none can calculate save You.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَبْدِكَ وَوَلِيِّكَ ٱلْقَائِمِ بِأَمْرِكَ وَٱلدَّاعِي إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِكَ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad the son of Ali, Your servant, Your authority, who undertakes the mission by Your command and calls to Your path.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَليِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِكَ وَوَلِيِّ دِينِكَ
O Allah, send blessing upon Ali the son of Muhammad, Your servant and the authority of Your religion.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ ٱلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ ٱلْعَامِلِ بِأَمْرِكَ ٱلْقَائِمِ فِي خَلْقِكَ وَحُجَّتِكَ ٱلْمُؤَدِّي عَنْ نَبِيِّكَ وَشَاهِدِكَ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِكَ
O Allah, send blessings upon al-Hasan the son of Ali who carries out Your commands, who undertakes the mission among Your creatures, Your argument who acts on behalf of Your Prophet, and Your witness on Your creatures.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ حُجَّتِكَ وَوَلِيِّكَ ٱلْقَائِمِ فِي خَلْقِكَ صَلاَةً تَامَّةً نَامِيَةً بَاقِيَةً تُعَجِّلُ بِهَا فَرَجَهُ وَتَنْصُرُهُ بِهَا وَتَجْعَلُنَا مَعَهُ فِي ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلآخِرَةِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Your argument and authority who undertakes the mission among Your creatures with perfect, ever-increasing, and everlasting blessings due to which You may hasten his Relief, grant him victory, and include us with him in this world and the Hereafter.
The Testimony of Faithfulness
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا وَلِيَّ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا نُورَ ٱللَّهِ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ ٱلأَرْضِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَمُودَ ٱلدِّينِ
Peace be upon you, O Allah's friend. Peace be upon you, O Allah's argument. Peace be upon you, O Allah's light in the darkness of the earth. Peace be upon you, O pillar of the religion.
أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ أَقَمْتَ ٱلصَّلاَةَ وَآتَيْتَ ٱلزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرْتَ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَيْتَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنْكَرِ وَعَبَدْتَ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصاً حَتَّىٰ أَتَاكَ ٱلْيَقِينُ
I bear witness that you performed the prayers, defrayed the poor-rate, enjoined the right, forbade the wrong, and served Allah sincerely until death came upon you.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا أَبَا ٱلْحَسَنِ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Peace be upon you, O Abu'l-Hasan. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.
The Closing Supplication
اَللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ صَمَدْتُ مِنْ أَرْضِي وَقَطَعْتُ ٱلْبِلاَدَ رَجَاءَ رَحْمَتِكَ فَلاَ تُخَيِّبْنِي وَلاَ تَرُدَّنِي بِغَيْرِ قَضَاءِ حَاجَتِي
O Allah, for Your sake alone have I set out from my homeland and covered many countries in the hope of winning Your mercy. So do not disappoint me and do not make me return without having my needs settled.
بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا مَوْلاَيَ أَتَيْتُكَ زَائِراً وَافِداً عَائِذاً مِمَّا جَنَيْتُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِي وَٱحْتَطَبْتُ عَلَىٰ ظَهْرِي فَكُنْ لِي شَافِعاً إِلَىٰ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ فَقْرِي وَفَاقَتِي
May my father and mother be ransoms for you, O my master. I have come to you visiting, seeking protection against all that which I have committed against myself. So be my intercessor with Allah on the day of my poverty and neediness.
اَللّٰہُمَّ فَبَلِّغْہُمَا مِنِّیْ اِلٰی رُوْحِہٖ وَ ارْدُدْ عَلَیَّ مِنْ رُوْحِہِ التَّحِیَّۃَ وَ السَّلَامَ
O Allah! Convey my gift to his soul, and return to me from his soul greetings and salutations.
