Complete Unabridged Ziyarat of Imam Ali al-Hadi (as)
نعزی الامة الاسلامیه و شیعة اهل البیت (ع) بذکری استشهاد الامام علي بن محمد الهادي علیه السلام.
Asking Permission at the Gate
Standing at the entrance of the shrine, recite:
اادْخُلُ يَا نَبِيَّ ٱللَّهِ اادْخُلُ يَا امِيرَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ اادْخُلُ يَا فَاطِمَةُ ٱلزَّهْرَاءُ سَيِّدَةَ نِسَاءِ ٱلْعَالَمِينَ
May I enter, O Prophet of Allah? May I enter, O Commander of the Faithful? May I enter, O Fatimah the Luminous, doyenne of the women of the world?
اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ ٱلْحَسَنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ ٱلْحُسَيْنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ عَلِيُّ بْنَ ٱلْحُسَيْنِ
May I enter, O my master al-Hasan? May I enter, O my master al-Husayn? May I enter, O my master Ali ibn al-Husayn?
اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ جَعْفَرُ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُوسَىٰ بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُوسَىٰ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ
May I enter, O Muhammad ibn Ali? O Ja'far ibn Muhammad? O Musa ibn Ja'far? O Ali ibn Musa? O Muhammad ibn Ali?
اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا ابَا ٱلْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ اادْخُلُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا ابَا مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلْحَسَنُ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ اادْخُلُ يَا مَلاَئِكَةَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُوَكَّلِينَ بِهٰذَا ٱلْحَرَمِ ٱلشَّرِيفِ
May I enter, O my master Abul-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad? O my master Abu Muhammad al-Hasan ibn Ali? May I enter, O angels of Allah assigned to this holy sanctuary?
Salutations at the Tomb
After repeating "Allahu Akbar" 100 times, recite:
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا ابَا ٱلْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلزَّكِيُّ ٱلرَّاشِدُ ٱلنُّورُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Peace be upon you, O Abul-Hasan Ali the son of Muhammad, the pious, right-directing, and brightly shining light. Allah's mercy and blessings be upon you.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا صَفِيَّ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا سِرَّ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَبْلَ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا آلَ ٱللَّهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا خِيَرةَ ٱللَّهِ
Peace be upon you, O choice friend of Allah. Peace be upon you, O confidant of Allah. Peace be upon you, O rope of Allah. Peace be upon you, O household of Allah. Peace be upon you, O select of Allah.
اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حُجَّةَ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رُكْنَ ٱلإِيـمَانِ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا مَوْلَىٰ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا عَلَمَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ يَا حَلِيفَ ٱلتُّقَىٰ
Peace be upon you, O argument of the All-beneficent. Peace be upon you, O essence of faith. Peace be upon you, O master of the believers. Peace be upon you, O symbol of guidance. Peace be upon you, O ally of piety.
The Witnessing of Truth
اشْهَدُ يَا مَوْلاَيَ يَا ابَا ٱلْحَسَنِ انَّكَ حُجَّةُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَىٰ خَلْقِهِ وَخَلِيفَتُهُ فِي بَرِيَّتِهِ وَامِينُهُ فِي بِلاَدِهِ وَشَاهِدُهُ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ
I bear witness, O my master, that you are the decisive argument of Allah against His creatures, His representative among His created beings, and His trusted administrator in His lands.
وَاشْهَدُ انَّكَ ٱلْمُطَهَّرُ مِنَ ٱلذُّنُوبِ ٱلْمُبَرَّا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُوبِ وَٱلْمُخْتَصُّ بِكَرَامَةِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَحْبُوُّ بِحُجَّةِ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَوْهُوبُ لَهُ كَلِمَةُ ٱللَّهِ
I bear witness that you are purified from sins, cleaned against defects, bestowed with the honor of Allah, and granted the Word of Allah.
Final Invocation of Blessings
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَصَلِّ عَلَىٰ حُجَّتِكَ ٱلْوَفِيِّ وَوَلِيِّكَ ٱلزَّكِيِّ وَامِينِكَ ٱلْمُرْتَضَىٰ وَصَفِيِّكَ ٱلْهَادِي وَصِرَاطِكَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and his Household, and send blessings upon Your faithful demonstrator, Your sagacious representative, Your well-pleased trustee, and Your straight path.
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ٱلرَّاشِدِ ٱلْمَعْصُومِ مِنَ ٱلزَّلَلِ وَٱلطَّاهِرِ مِنَ ٱلْخَلَلِ ٱلْمَبْلُوِّ بِٱلْفِتَنِ وَٱلْمُخْتَبَرِ بِٱلْمِحَنِ
O Allah, send blessings upon Ali ibn Muhammad, the rightly-directing, the infallible, free from defects, who was tried through seditions and tested through tribulations.
وَآتِنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ فِي مُوَالاَتِهِ فَضْلًا وَإِِحْسَاناً وَمَغْفِرَةً وَرِضْوَاناً إِِنَّكَ ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
And give us, on account of our love for him, from You bounties, favors, amnesty, and approval. Verily, You are the Lord of superabundant favors.
