Wisdom in Silence
“There is no good in keeping silent about wisdom, just as there is no good in speaking with ignorance.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ establishes a perfect balance for human speech. While silence is often praised as a virtue, the Imam clarifies that withholding beneficial knowledge or justice is a disservice to humanity. Conversely, speaking without facts or understanding is equally harmful. The goal is to be a source of truth—to speak when you have wisdom to share, and to remain quiet when you lack knowledge.
