عمل کی اہمیت
فَاعِلُ الْخَيْرِ خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ، وَفَاعِلُ الشَّرِّ شَرٌّ مِنْهُ.
نیکی کرنے والا خود نیکی سے بہتر ہے، اور برائی کرنے والا خود برائی سے بدتر ہے۔
“The doer of good is better than the good itself, and the doer of evil is worse than the evil itself.”
Reflections: This wisdom highlights the importance of the human agent. An act of “good” is temporary, but the person who performs it has cultivated a virtuous soul that will continue to produce good. Conversely, a “sin” is a singular event, but the person who commits it has allowed their character to be corrupted. Imam Ali ؑ encourages us to focus on becoming good people, rather than just performing occasional good deeds.
