The World’s Reality
“Certainly, the world is a place of passage and the hereafter is a place of permanent stay. Therefore, take from your place of passage for your place of permanent stay.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ uses the terms Majaz (passage) and Qarar (stability/permanence) to define our existence. He suggests that the mistake humans make is trying to find “Qarar” (permanence) in a “Majaz” (transit zone). The world is not meant to be a destination; it is a resource center. A traveler doesn’t build a palace at a bus station; they gather supplies for the journey ahead. This wisdom invites us to prioritize the eternal over the fleeting.
