The Value of Giving

مَنْ أَعْطَى هَذِهِ الْفُضُولَ، جَزَاهُ اللهُ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ.
جس نے اپنی ضرورت سے زائد چیز (دوسروں کو) دے دی، اللہ اسے وہ جزا دے گا جس کا وہ (اللہ) اہل ہے۔
“Whoever gives away what is surplus to his needs, Allah shall reward him in a manner worthy of Himself.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ emphasizes the concept of spiritual economics. When a human rewards another, it is limited by human capacity. But when Allah promises a reward “worthy of Himself,” the magnitude is beyond human imagination. Giving away what is extra or surplus might seem like a small act to us, but because it fulfills a need and shows trust in Divine Providence, it earns a limitless return.
