The Tongue’s Danger
“Whoever speaks much, his mistakes increase.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ teaches that silence is often a form of wisdom. When a person speaks excessively, they lose the ability to filter their thoughts, leading to slips of the tongue, unintended insults, or the revealing of secrets. Restraint in speech is a sign of a disciplined mind and a protected character.
