The Speech of the Wise
“The tongue of the wise man is behind his heart, and the heart of the fool is behind his tongue.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ explains that for a wise person, the **Intellect (Heart)** acts as a filter; they process, weigh, and judge a thought before letting it reach the tongue. Conversely, a fool speaks impulsively, only realizing the impact of their words after they have been uttered. This wisdom is a call for **Mindfulness** ($Muraqaba$); it teaches us that the mastery of silence is the first step toward the perfection of wisdom.
