مَا عَالَ مَنِ اقْتَصَدَ.

جس نے میانہ روی اختیار کی، وہ کبھی محتاج (فقیر) نہیں ہوا۔

“He who adopts moderation (in spending and life) will never become destitute.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights that poverty is often not caused by a lack of income, but by a lack of **Balance ($Iqtisad$)**. Moderation is the midpoint between stinginess and extravagance. By living within one’s means and planning carefully, a person protects their independence and avoids the humiliation of debt or begging. This wisdom is a timeless economic principle for personal and spiritual peace.
