“Make your own soul the scale (the standard) for judging between yourself and others.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies the ultimate metric for **Empathy**. He explains that we should desire for others what we desire for ourselves and dislike for them what we find painful for ourselves. By making our own feelings the “Scale of Justice,” we eliminate hypocrisy and cruelty. This wisdom teaches us that social harmony is not built on complex laws alone, but on the simple, honest reflection of one’s own heart.
