عَجِبْتُ لِمَنْ يَنْزِلُ بِهِ الْمَوْتُ وَهُوَ يَطْلُبُ الدُّنْيَا.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
مجھے اس شخص پر تعجب ہے جس پر موت اتر رہی ہو اور وہ پھر بھی دنیا کا طلب گار ہو۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“I wonder at the person who sees death descending upon him and yet continues to seek this world.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights the strange irony of human nature. We witness the passage of time and the departure of others every day, yet we often remain obsessed with amassing worldly gains as if we are immortal. This wisdom is a call to align our priorities—reminding us that while we live in this world, our ultimate focus should be on that which remains after death.
