The Qualities of a Believer
“May Allah have mercy on Khabbab ibn al-Aratt, for he accepted Islam willingly, emigrated (Hijrah) obediently, lived content with bare sufficiency, was pleased with Allah, and lived the life of a Mujahid (struggler).”
Reflections: In this eulogy, Imam Ali ؑ summarizes the perfect life cycle of a faithful soul. He highlights five key traits: sincerity in belief, readiness to sacrifice for the truth, contentment with simplicity, total submission to Divine Will, and a continuous struggle against falsehood. It serves as a blueprint for anyone seeking to align their life with the pleasure of Allah.
