The Performer and the Deed
“The doer of good is better than the good deed itself, and the doer of evil is worse than the evil deed itself.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ presents a deep philosophical truth: the source is more significant than the result. A good deed is a finite event, but the “doer of good” possesses the character and potential to generate endless goodness. Conversely, an evil person is the factory of vice; their internal corruption is far more dangerous than any single harmful act they commit.
