The Mirror of the Soul
“No one conceals a thing in his heart but that it manifests itself in the slips of his tongue and the expressions of his face.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies a fundamental law of **Human Psychology**. He explains that the physical body is a servant to the heart; therefore, internal secrets—no matter how deeply buried—leak out through non-verbal cues. “Slips of the tongue” and facial expressions are involuntary indicators of one’s true intent. This wisdom serves as a reminder to purify our hearts, for our external facade can never fully mask our internal reality.
