The Mirror of the Soul

“No one conceals a thing in his heart except that it manifests itself in the slips of his tongue and the expressions of his face.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights a deep psychological truth: the human heart is never truly a secret. Our subconscious mind is constantly communicating our true intentions. Whether it is a “slip of the tongue” (a Freudian slip) or a fleeting micro-expression on the face, the truth eventually leaks out. This wisdom encourages us to focus on purifying our hearts rather than just managing our outward appearances.
