The Light of Wisdom
“These hearts get tired just as bodies get tired; so look for beautiful aphorisms (wisdom) for them.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ identifies a crucial aspect of **Spiritual Psychology**. He acknowledges that the human heart (the center of emotion and spirit) is not a machine; it experiences fatigue and boredom if pushed too hard or fed only dry, repetitive information. To keep the spirit alive and vibrant, we must seek out “beautiful aphorisms”—wit, deep insights, and elegant wisdom—that refresh the soul. This teaches us that the pursuit of knowledge should be nourishing and aesthetically pleasing, not just a burden of facts.
