The Call to Truth
“We (the Ahlulbayt) are the middle cushion (the golden mean); those who lag behind must catch up to it, and those who exceed the limits must return to it.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ defines the Ahlulbayt ؑ as the standard of balance in Islam. In every age, people tend to fall into two extremes: Taqsir (lagging behind in recognizing their status) or Ghuluww (exaggerating their status beyond Divine limits). This wisdom teaches that Truth is not found in extremes; it is found in the “Middle Path” represented by the teachings of the Prophet’s household.
