Introduction

Tasbih-e-Zahra (Tasbeeh of Fatima) is a great and powerful form of worship attributed to Hazrat Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her). This tasbih was taught by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) to his daughter Fatima. According to Shia hadith sources, this tasbih is better than a thousand units of prayer and has immense virtues and benefits.

تعارف

تسبیحِ فاطمہ (علیہا السلام) ایک عظیم اور طاقتور عبادت ہے جو حضرت فاطمہ الزہراء (علیہا السلام) سے منسوب ہے۔ یہ تسبیح حضرت محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنی بیٹی فاطمہ کو سکھائی تھی۔ شیعہ احادیث کے مطابق، یہ تسبیح ہزار رکعت نماز سے بہتر ہے اور اس کی فضیلت بہت زیادہ ہے۔

Historical Background

It is narrated from Hazrat Ali (as) that Hazrat Fatima (sa) used to get tired from daily chores and intended to ask her father Muhammad (saw) for a maidservant. The Prophet went to her house and said: “Should I not give you something better than a maidservant?” He then taught her this tasbih.

حضرت علی (علیہ السلام) سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت فاطمہ (علیہا السلام) روزمرہ کے کاموں سے تھک جاتی تھیں اور انہوں نے اپنے والد محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے ایک خادمہ مانگنے کا ارادہ کیا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا: “کیا میں تمہیں کسی خادمہ سے بہتر چیز نہ دے دوں؟” پھر انہوں نے یہ تسبیح سکھائی۔

How to Recite Tasbih-e-Zahra

34 Times اَللهُ اَكْبَر

Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest)

33 Times اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰه

Al-Hamdulillah (Praise be to God)

33 Times سُبْحَانَ الله

Subhanallah (Glory be to God)

فرامینِ معصومینؑ

“اللہ کی تسبیح اور حمد میں تسبیح فاطمہ (علیہا السلام) سے بہتر کوئی عبادت نہیں ہے۔ اگر اس سے بہتر کوئی عبادت ہوتی تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنی بیٹی فاطمہ کو ضرور سکھاتے۔”

“There is no form of worship better than the tasbih of Fatima (as) in glorifying Allah. If there was something better, the Prophet (saw) would have surely taught it.”

“جو شخص نماز واجب کے بعد اپنی جگہ سے ہٹنے سے پہلے تسبیح فاطمہ (علیہا السلام) پڑھے تو اللہ اس کو بخش دے۔”
— امام جعفر صادقؑ (الکافی)

“Whoever recites the Tasbih of Fatima (as) after an obligatory prayer before moving from his place, Allah will forgive him.”
— Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (as)

The Best Beads

The best tasbih (rosary) is made from the soil of the grave of Imam Husayn (peace be upon him). It helps in remembering the events of Karbala. Imam al-Zamana (atfs) stated that even holding such beads brings the reward of tasbih even if one is not reciting anything.

تسبیح کی مالا

سب سے بہتر مالا وہ ہے جو امام حسین (علیہ السلام) کی قبر کی خاک سے بنی ہو۔ امام زمانہ (عجل اللہ فرجہ) کی روایت ہے کہ جو شخص ایسی مالا کو ہاتھ میں رکھے تو اگرچہ وہ کوئی تسبیح نہ پڑھے، پھر بھی اس کے لیے تسبیح کا ثواب لکھا جاتا ہے۔

Recitation Guidelines

  • ★ Recite immediately after obligatory prayers.
  • ★ Do not move from your prayer position.
  • ★ Recite with the presence of heart.
  • ★ Maintain the correct sequence (34, 33, 33).
  • نماز کے فوری بعد اپنی جگہ سے ہٹے بغیر پڑھیں۔ ★
  • دل کی موجودگی اور توجہ کے ساتھ پڑھیں۔ ★
  • صحیح ترتیب کو برقرار رکھیں۔ ★
  • بغیر کسی وقفے کے مسلسل پڑھیں۔ ★

Tasbih-e-Zahra (peace be upon her) is a path to Paradise for us and a means of Allah’s mercy. We should incorporate this into our daily lives and teach it to our children.
