Sustenance and Death
“O son of Adam! Do not load the worry of your day that has not yet come upon your day that has already arrived.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ offers a profound remedy for anxiety. We often ruin the blessings of the present moment by worrying about the uncertainties of the future. He teaches that if a day is destined to be part of your life, its sustenance will arrive with it. By “loading” tomorrow’s worries onto today, we overtax our minds and hearts with burdens that Allah has not yet asked us to carry. True faith involves doing our best today and trusting the Creator for tomorrow.
