Regret and Refinement
“Whoever abandons saying ‘I do not know’ will meet his destruction (will be struck in his vulnerable spots).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights that the greatest danger to a person’s intellect is Intellectual Arrogance. To pretend to have knowledge where one is ignorant is a path to certain failure. By admitting “I do not know,” a person protects their integrity, leaves room for learning, and avoids making fatal errors based on false assumptions. This wisdom teaches us that humility is the ultimate shield for the mind.
