الدَّاعِي بِلاَ عَمَل كَالرَّامِي بِلاَ وَتَر.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
عمل کے بغیر دعا مانگنے والا ایسا ہے جیسے بغیر تانت (چلّے) کے کمان سے تیر چلانے والا۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“The one who prays without acting is like an archer who tries to shoot an arrow without a bowstring.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ provides a visual masterpiece of logic. Just as a bow requires a string to propel an arrow, a prayer requires **action ($Amal$)** to be effective. Action is the energy that launches our intentions toward the Divine. This wisdom teaches that while we must rely on Allah through prayer, we must also fulfill our part of the struggle. Prayer is a partner to effort, not a substitute for it.
