Piety is Honor
تقویٰ اور عزت

لَا كَرَمَ كَالتَّقْوَى، وَلَا مَعْقِلَ كَالْوَرَعِ.
Urdu Translation • اردو ترجمہ
تقویٰ جیسی کوئی بزرگی (اور شرافت) نہیں، اور پرہیزگاری جیسا کوئی مضبوط قلعہ (اور پناہ گاہ) نہیں۔
English Translation • انگریزی ترجمہ
“There is no nobility like piety, and no refuge like God-fearing (Wara’).”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ redefines the standards of human dignity. In a world that often measures nobility by bloodline or wealth, he teaches that true “Karam” (honor) is found in Taqwa. Furthermore, he describes Wara’ (refraining from the doubtful and the forbidden) as a fortress. While people seek safety in money or status, a believer finds the ultimate psychological and spiritual safety in their relationship with God.
