Patience and Comfort
“Surely, you have been made to see if (only) you care to see; surely, you have been guided if (only) you care to take guidance; and surely, you have been made to hear if (only) you care to lend your ears.”
Reflections: Imam Ali ؑ highlights that spiritual “blindness” or “deafness” is a choice. The signs of God and the paths of righteousness are present in the world and within ourselves. The barrier is not a lack of evidence, but a lack of **Intention**. This wisdom serves as both a comfort and a warning: comfort because the path is clear for the sincere seeker, and a warning because no one can claim ignorance when they simply chose not to pay attention.
